BOOKS for kids that teach the importance of education?

I am collecting books for my family in the Philippines. What books would you recommend for kids who live in very poor areas of the world to encourage and help them understand the importance of education? These children are from ages 3 to teens. Also, do you know of any other place to get discount books from? (I know there’s ebay, Amazon and the used bookstores)
Some market stalls sell books very cheap and there is usually a large selection. I think that ‘Ladybird’ do some educational books especially on British wildlife.
FYI most authors will donate books for such, all you have to do is ask!

a book that is most common here like the caterpillar book (written in phillipino), animal farm, cartoon books, leapad, lol jk but that can be an option
